LPL/LCK Summer Split – Betting Preview – Wednesday July 1st, 2020

Betting Record (31-19, -0.47 units) – LPL 2020 Summer Split

Invictus Gaming vs. Dominus Esports – 5:00AM ET

LGD Gaming vs. Suning Gaming – 7:00AM ET

Betting Record (14-6, +4.91 units) – LCK 2020 Summer Split

DAMWON Gaming vs. T1 – 4:00AM ET

Gen.G vs. SANDBOX Gaming – 7:00AM ET

DAMWON Gaming (3-1) vs. T1 (3-1) – 4:00AM ET

Moneyline Odds: T1 (-140) | DAMWON Gaming (+105)

Map Handicap: DAMWON Gaming +1.5 (-290) | T1 -1.5 (+205)

Bet: T1 -1.5 Map Handicap (+205) [1 UNIT]

Why I Like It: I think that a 2-0 sweep for T1 is possible and that there is good value at these odds. DAMWON won the last time these teams faced, which was at the Mid-Season Cup, but T1 was off their game and gave away an easy win with some poor mistakes. T1 is definitely still the better team and they have more upside. Taking T1 moneyline would be safer here, but if they are playing well then there is no reason that they can’t sweep.

Invictus Gaming (4-2) vs. Dominus Esports (1-6) – 5:00AM ET

Moneyline Odds: Invictus Gaming (-1800) | Dominus Esports (+650)

Map Handicap: Invictus Gaming -1.5 (-275) | Dominus Esports +1.5 (+195)

Bet: Invictus Gaming -1.5 Map Handicap (-275) [2 UNITS]

Why I Like It: Invictus is going with Reheal at support instead of Southwind, which was a little unexpected, but playing against a bad team like Dominus Esports offers such opportunities. I’d feel more comfortable betting on IG with Southwind in the lineup, but this should be an easy 2-0 sweep regardless. Dominus is also making a minor change that I don’t really care about, with Hui at support. TheShy has been playing like a maniac lately, but this has allowed IG’s best player Rookie to get less of the attention, while Puff also gets fed at the same time. Invictus is starting to figure out their identity, and Dominus is severely outmatched, so I like the -1.5 map handicap at these odds.

Gen.G (3-1) vs. SANDBOX Gaming (0-4) – 7:00AM ET

Moneyline Odds: Gen.G (-1000) | SANDBOX Gaming (+525)

Map Handicap: Gen.G -1.5 (-210) | SANDBOX Gaming +1.5 (+155)

Bet: Gen.G -1.5 Map Handicap (-210) [2 UNITS]

Why I Like It: Gen.G is the 2nd best team in the LCK right now and their only loss came to the best team, DragonX. SANDBOX Gaming has gotten swept in all but one series so far this split, with their one game win actually coming against DragonX. The game that SANDBOX won against DRX was pretty much over based on the draft, as Route was set-up to thrive as Aphelios. SANDBOX will win a couple of series this split, but Gen.G is too talented to lose this one. Having an elite mid laner is crucial in the current meta, and Bdd is on another level compared to Dove and FATE. I don’t see SANDBOX taking even a single game in this series.

LGD Gaming (4-1) vs. Suning Gaming (4-3) – 7:00AM ET

Moneyline Odds: LGD Gaming (-230) | Suning Gaming (+165)

Map Handicap: Suning Gaming +1.5 (-190) | LGD Gaming -1.5 (+140)

Bet: LGD Gaming Moneyline (-230) [1 UNIT]

Why I Like It: LGD Gaming has played extremely well this split and are looking like a playoff contender. Their only loss came against Top Esports, which is to be expected, and they have impressive wins over Invictus Gaming, Victory Five, and eStar. Those wins all went to 3 games, and this series could go to 3 games as well, since Suning is a scrappy team that will also be fighting for a spot in the playoffs. I considered the +1.5 map handicap for Suning Gaming, but LGD Gaming moneyline is much safer because they still could possibly sweep here. I give LGD Gaming a pretty big edge in this match-up so I am confident in taking them moneyline.
