Forze vs. Virtus.Pro (CSGO) Betting Preview – April 19, 2020

Forze vs. Virtus.Pro (12:00 pm EST)

The DreamHack Master Qualifier continues today highlighted by a matchup between #18 ranked Forze and #19 ranked Virtus.Pro. The qualifier consists of eight teams with the top two teams moving on to the spring master series. Book makers have set Forze (-180) as the betting favorite against Virtus.Pro (+140). The o/u for this best of three series is listed at 2.5, with -125 odds favoring the under.  Both of these teams come into this match after suffering a 2-1 loss in their previous game. The winner of this matchup will be moving on to face the winner of the OG/Avez matchup in which OG is a heavy betting favorite.

Forze and Virtus come in to this match with a pretty good idea of what each other want to do. The two teams have matched up against each other 28 times with Virtus leading the series 16 maps to 12. Familiarity in CSGO creates a chance to game plan for each others strengths and weaknesses. It also provides teams with good insight on which maps to ban or pick based on how they’ve previously performed against their opponent. The three most recent best of three matchups between these two teams have been decided on a third map. I imagine that’ll be the case as well today. Virtus has won two of the last three best of three series matchups. Although Forze has won the most recent, I see this game closer to a coin flip than the odds suggest. If I had to pick a side I would be on Virtus.Pro at plus money.

Miner’s Money Picks: Total maps o2.5(+105)
